Meet Renee. Renee and I met back in mid-May. She is an extremely talented local photographer based out of the Pocono area. I had posted an inquiry in a local photography group regarding a meet-up for headshots. Renee enthusiastically replied, and it was all history from there!
No really, it was. While Renee and I couldn’t be more different, we are yet so very similar. For starters, our love of photography - obviously! We feel more comfortable standing behind the camera rather than in front. Odd, considering how happy Renee looks in these photos! Secondly, our ridiculous dependency on coffee! And it’s no coincidence that we decided to meet at Lit, a local coffee shop. I must dish out accolades where they are due, as this was a suggestion of Renee’s and it was a perfect location for our headshot session! So a little more tangible than our deep passions for photography and coffee is our shared love for children, specifically our own. Renee and I both have kiddos, and as a matter of fact, we just may meet up again to incorporate our adored little ones into another session! :)
Did I mention we’re both goofy and a little dorky, too? Yeah… I forgot to mention that, but it’s true. Just look back on some of my childhood photos, and you will find a COMPLETE dork. But this made our time together so enjoyable! We weren’t afraid to be ourselves! And that’s an important factor when it comes to photos. The key to loving your photos is simply being yourself. Relax. Get goofy. Heck, if you’re the drinking type, have a drink! I promise I won’t judge, HA! But seriously - take a load off and just have fun!
Speaking of having fun… we were in the middle of shooting and a child had looked over at Renee and waved. And when a child waves at you, what do you do? You wave back, of course!
Life’s a beach. Take time to relax on it!
